On January 14, 1989, in the city of Niterói, he founded Grupo Capoeira Brasil together with Masters Paulão Ceará and Boneco. The group was born with the vision of preserving the foundations of capoeira while adapting to new times, quickly becoming one of the largest and most respected capoeira institutions worldwide. Mestre Paulinho is recognized not only for his physical skill, but for his musical mastery and his unmistakable voice in the roda. He has dedicated himself to using capoeira as a training tool for children and youth in vulnerable situations.

Based in Belgium, he is one of the masters of the Capoeira Brasil group, recognized for his loyalty to the institution's foundations and his ability to transmit GCB's methodology to a multicultural audience. He stands out for his musicality and energy in the roda.
